In 2015 the developers, Milnerton Estates, announced the launch of a new suburb – Sandown. Sagewood is situated within walking distance of Sandown Road which in turn hosts major shopping opportunities at the Sandown Retail Crossing, Checkers Hyper, Poco, Virgin Active and Food Lovers Market. In September 2017, the Table Bay Mall is due to open, incorporating major retailer anchors, numerous line shops and more amenities to cater for this rapidly growing area and is located within 2 km’s of this estate.


The suburb enjoys an excellent public transport system with the MyCiti bus collector route connected to the change-over terminus at Bayside Centre, which in turn provides the integrated rapid bus service into the CBD of Cape Town. For the more energetic, there is also a dedicated bicycle lane from Table View into the CBD.

Landscaped parks with different themes are accommodated within the estate’s secure perimeter. These include a trim park, play parks, a water park, a jogging track along the paved roads and feature landscaping elements including playground furniture and state of the art lighting.

Developers who secured plots in the pre-release are presently designing the homes that they will promote through their selling agents whilst vacant land sales are conducted through the Aska Property Group.
